At Africa Hoofprint Foundation NPC, our mission is to empower at-risk youth by harnessing the transformative power of horses and equestrian sport to build resilience, confidence, and leadership.

We achieve this by:

Providing inclusive, accessible equine education and training programmes that develop sport skills, horsemanship, and career readiness across the equestrian industry’s diverse pathways.
Creating safe, supportive environments where young people can engage in structured equestrian sport, fostering discipline, teamwork, and personal achievement — from first lessons to competition, and potentially to elite levels.
Offering mentorship and life skills development focused on emotional intelligence, responsibility, self-worth, and community values, to prepare youth for success both on and off the saddle.
Advocating for animal welfare and environmental stewardship through hands-on care of the Griqua Heritage Horse Sanctuary, teaching respect for animals and nature as integral to personal growth and cultural identity.
Building sustainable infrastructure and partnerships to ensure the Centre remains a thriving hub for sport, education, and community development in the Plettenberg Bay region and beyond.
Inspiring youth to dream boldly and providing pathways for them to pursue over 40 career opportunities within the equine industry, from professional riding and training to veterinary care, breeding, stable management, and beyond.
Championing social inclusion by breaking down barriers for vulnerable communities, fostering empowerment through shared experiences with horses, nature, and sport.
